Spring Berry Tarts


Light supper and a drink included. This class is participatory.

Instructor: Chef Kerrie Sanson

Learn to make those mouth-watering old fashioned tarts that make you wish it was always berry season! This class will include classic French and free form tarts, as well as how to make custard and  glaze. Premium farm ingredients will include eggs, berries and leaf lard for the perfect crust. You'll go home with goodies from the class and enjoy a farm fresh dinner in addition to dessert--tarts of course.

Kerrie Sanson has been a chef and caterer on Bainbridge Island for two decades. She was an assistant technical instructor at Seattle Culinary Academy and has taught at Islandwood and Intentional Table. She also was formerly the baker at Restaurant Marche. She has been a participant at Quillisascut Farm School and has a strong background in sustainable food systems and stewardship in the kitchen.
