Connecting has never been so delicious.

Whether enjoying appetizers and music in the barn or learning about cheese making, our guests experience the renewal that comes of grounded interactions around food and farming. Our culinary team creates meals and classes that reflect both the current season, the natural bounty of our farm and our unique Northwest location. We also work with guest chefs and other talented instructors to offer additional classes from butchery to art.

UPCOMING at the Heyday Farm House:

Thursday, September 27th, 2018
6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Heyday Farm “Chef in the Garden Series” Featuring Taho Kakutani

This September, Chef Tad Mitsui has invited Taho Kakutani of Mioto Pop-up Dinners to join us on the farm for an evening of delicious and creative fare.

Taho Kakutani works as a fishmonger at the Pike Place Fish Market in downtown Seattle. When his family moved to Bainbridge two years ago, he wanted to explore his dream of being a chef so he and his wife Jennifer began hosting Mioto Pop-up Dinners out of their home on Bainbridge Island.

On Thursday, September 27th, he joins Chef Tad Mitsui at Heyday Farm House. Taho sources his seafood from Pike Place Fish, the only completely sustainable seafood market in Pike Place Market, and pairs it with his new passion for foraging. Fall is always an exciting season for foraging.

Chef Tad and Taho will collaborate on a multi course menu highlighting local & sustainable fish, along with elements from our gardens and pastures.

Guests will be greeted with a welcoming bite & sip of bubbles and invited to stroll the farm gardens. The chefs will share stories of their dishes and inspirations that come from all the culinary opportunities of our region, then everyone will make their way inside for the meal. Chef Tad and Taho will serve a 5-course meal designed and prepared in collaboration to highlight the flavors of the Pacific Northwest bounty that Fall offers.

Price includes a 5 course meal, welcoming bubbles, and gratuity. All tickets are non-refundable, however, they are transferable to another person for this event. In the event of a cancellation by guest chef or the dinner in general, full purchase price shall be refunded.

Tickets are non-refundable for this special event.
